We transform the urban movement by becoming car-independent
Looking at cities nowadays, we see that most streets are jammed by cars. This does not only lead to slow mobility; it is noisy and very toxic for humans and the environment.
With GLEAM we want to solve this problem and transform the urban movement by becoming car-independent. We know that transformation can only happen if you have a product that you can trust.
“Our goal is to transform mobility and reduce CO2 emissions by 100.000 tons until 2025.”
Our guiding values
Here are the core values that guide us on our journey to reach this goal:
Freedom
We build bikes that gives you the freedom to go wherever you want to go and do anything you want to do.
Efficiency
We listen to you to understand what you need in your daily life and we provide you a solution that increases your efficiency and reduces your ownership costs.
Reliability
We produce our bike in Europe and use the highest quality material to create bikes that are stable and last.
Sustainability
By being innovative and thinking in the long run, we want our bikes to be economically, socially and ecologically sustainable.
Our Story
The idea to GLEAM was born in 2010, when a Viennese Messenger was looking for the ideal vehicle for his daily job. The founder of GLEAM, Mario Eibl, a passionate cyclist and technical expert with start-up experience, therefore started to develop the very first GLEAM prototype.
Over the years, the GLEAM Cargo eBike was further developed in multiple R&D projects to the smallest detail. It also won various contests and awards such as the Urban Innovation Challenge by Forum Alpbach.
It was not too long until KIC InnoEnergy SE became shareholder and GLEAM was selected to be a company building project of WhatAVenture.
An important step for a successful serial production was the selection of our development and production partners: we developed the cargo eBike with the experienced motorcycles engineers from Ricardo (now Wheelab) in Italy and produce the frame with manufacturing partners in Italy’s “motor valley”.
We assemble the GLEAM Cargo eBike in our Smart Factory together with our partners Technologies Added. With all our partners we are working hard everyday to deliver to you our Gleam experience.
