We transform the urban movement by becoming car-independent
Looking at cities nowadays, we see that most streets are jammed by cars. This does not only lead to slow mobility; it is noisy and very toxic for humans and the environment.
With GLEAM we want to solve this problem and transform the urban movement by becoming car-independent. We know that transformation can only happen if you have a product that you can trust.
“Our goal is to transform mobility and reduce CO2 emissions by 100.000 tons until 2025.”
Our guiding values
Here are the core values that guide us on our journey to reach this goal:
Freedom
We build bikes that gives you the freedom to go wherever you want to go and do anything you want to do.
Efficiency
We listen to you to understand what you need in your daily life and we provide you a solution that increases your efficiency and reduces your ownership costs.
Reliability
We produce our bike in Europe and use the highest quality material to create bikes that are stable and last.
Sustainability
By being innovative and thinking in the long run, we want our bikes to be economically, socially and ecologically sustainable.
Our Story
GLEAM appeared in 2010 from the need of a Viennese bicycle messenger to develop an ideal vehicle to better carry out the activities. Mario Eibl, founder of GLEAM as well as an enthusiastic cyclist himself used his technical expertise and start-up experience to build GLEAM. He developed different bike prototypes and won prestigious prizes during various R&D projects, such as the EMILIA project.
The prototypes were vigorously developed further, and the specially developed curve tilting technology was perfected. In 2019, KIC InnoEnergy SE participated to start the series transition of the vehicle. In the same year, GLEAM managed to be selected as a company building project of the successful venture builder WhatAVenture
In 2019, for the design, detailed engineering and “design for manufacturing”, a partnership was entered into with the established engineering company Ricardo, a team with years of experience in the motorcycle industry.
In 2022, the production facility was moved to GLEAM’s hometown, the Austrian capital Vienna. Since then, the Multi Use Bikes have been produced exclusively in Austria.
